My name is Justyna Nikodemska-Luzak and I am a sworn translator (sworn in the Polish Ministry of Justice) and a professional specialising in legal and business translations. Translations I do include official letters, court papers, business documents as well as other legal instruments in cross-border transactions.
For the last 15 years I have been rendering services to individuals, business entities and institutions. I continue to improve my qualifications by regularly attending professional trainings and courses, where I deepen my knowledge on civil and common law systems.
I am a member of TEPIS – The Polish Society of Sworn and Specialized Translators (a Full Member of EULITA – The European Legal Interpreters and Translators Association), and I follow The Professional Sworn Translator’s Code.
I use CAT tool to better manage the whole translation process and keep terminology consistent.

Additional information:
1. Cost calculation for a certified translation includes each started conversion page.
2. Seals, stamps and other characteristic elements of a document are briefly described in a certified translation. Such brief description is included in the overall character count.
3. Non-certified translation page is rounded up to 0.1 (above first page).
4. In express mode i.e. for translations done on the day of ordering (up to 5 conversion pages) or translations above 7 conversion pages a day, the rate is 25% higher.
5. The minimum unit for translation is 1 page and for interpretation 1 session.
6. Cost calculation for an interpretation includes each started session.
7. For away-from-home assignments, the fee amounts to at least one full daily rate (8-hour session). The client reimburses travel and accommodation costs.
8. The VAT at 23% applies to the above rates.

Please note:
Under Article 18 (2) of the Act on the Profession of Sworn Translator of 25 November 2004, a sworn translator is obliged to state in the certification formula, wheter the translation was done from the original document or its copy (i.e. a scan or a photo).
For this reason, if you require a translation from the original document, it needs to be produced to me the moment the translation is collected or to be delivered to my office (in person or by registered mail) prior to service commencement – when a Client chooses to have their translation sent by registered mail or courier, instead of collecting it at my office.
However, if a translation can be done from the document’s copy, you need neither to produce nor deliver the original.

INFORMATION CLAUSE
Under Article 13 (1) and (2) of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation)(hereinafter “GDPR”), I hereby inform that Justyna Nikodemska-Luzak, Sworn Translator and Interpreter of English, address ul. I will process your personal data to perform the ordered translation, as provided for in Article 5 of GDPR and the Act on the Profession of Sworn Translator of 25 November 2004 (Journal of Laws of 2019, item 1326) (hereinafter “APST”), and to settle accounts with the client.
If the above performance so requires, your personal data may be disclosed to: 1) my co-workers under a separate authorisation, 2) other categories of recipient like couriers or fiscal authorities.
Pursuant to Article 29c of APST, your personal data will be kept for a period of 4 years following the end of the year, when such data was collected, unless longer period is required to protect my rights and to assert my claims.
To the extent not violating the sworn translator’s professional secrecy, you have a right to:
- access your personal data and receive a copy thereof
- rectification of your personal data
- erasure and restriction of processing
- data portability
- lodge a complaint to supervisory authority.
I hereby inform, that under Article 29a(1) of APST, Articles 15(1) and (3), 18 and 19 of GDPR apply to the extent not violating the sworn translator’s professional secrecy referred to in Article 14(1) point (2) of APST. Pursuant to Article 29a(2) of APST you do not have a right to object as provided for in Article 21(1) of GDPR.
Providing your personal data is voluntary. However, if you refuse to provide your personal data, the above mentioned performance may be hindered or rendered impossible.
I hereby inform, that your personal data is not subject to automated processing, including profiling.
